Mona Sherpa joined CARE Nepal in August 2018 and is responsible for providing strategic, management and technical support to all the program teams of CARE Nepal. She brings with her close to 19 years of professional experience in diverse capacities across various countries in South Asia as well as countries such as Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland. She has largely contributed in the field of Women’s Rights, Governance, Climate Change, Disaster Risk Management and in the overall management of development interventions ensuring the feminist and human rights angle in all of her work. She also possesses expertise in tactfully working with various Government agencies and donors.

Shivani Dixit Adhikari joined CARE Nepal in September 2015. At CARE Nepal Shivani leads and manages departments like finance, procurement, logistics and warehouse, IT, administration and safety and security. She has more than 15 years of experience in the development and private sector and has handled multi-currency, multi-donor projects successfully. In the past she has worked with several big organizations like International Rescue Committee (IRC), Action Aid International and Population Services International (PSI).

Amendra Pokhrel joined CARE Nepal in September 2020 and brings with him 8 years of involvement and experience in humanitarian aid and international development fields. He has experience of working in the areas of fundraising, donor relations, report writing, donor reporting, and land tenure and property rights. With Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, he is skilled in storytelling, news writing, editing, journalism, research, strategic thinking, critical thinking, and analysis.

Rachel joined CARE Nepal in July 2020. She brings 17 years of global development and emergency response experience to the role, along with a passion to empower marginalized woman and girls. An entrepreneurial leader, Rachel has previously managed a $60 million refugee response, led an $80 million consortium of seven NGOs and a dozen donors, and served as global safeguarding director for a large INGO. Rachel holds an MBA from the Wharton School, and a Bachelor’s of Science from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service. She is a native speaker of Japanese, and has lived and worked in Japan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Somalia, Kenya, southern Africa, and now Nepal.
